All new adult volunteers are required to complete the following 4 steps.
**5-Day Club Hosts are required to complete only steps 1 & 2.
1. Volunteer background check application after review of and agreement with CEF Statement of Faith and signature on Ministry Compliance Agreement.
2. Interview and Photo ID Check (completed by your Team Leader or Ministry Coordinator).
3. Photo Release Form (click to complete photo release form).
4. Complete Teacher Training (Schedule through local CEF Chapter office).
* For Good News Club volunteers, once all of these components are completed and you are approved, you will be issued a Good News Club (GNC) name tag, from the local office, with the current year, to indicate you have completed the necessary screening. It is essential that you wear this name tag when you serve at a GNC.
...All first-time minor volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application process which includes reference checks in accordance with the Child Protection Policy of Child Evangelism Fellowship, Inc. Prior to completing the application, volunteers will be asked to read and agree to CEF's online Statement of Faith & Ministry Compliance Agreement, and watch a presentation of the Protecting Today's Child video.
There are three parts to the volunteer approval process. All three steps, below are required to be completed before you can serve in a CEF ministry:
For Good News Club volunteers, once all of these parts are completed and you are appoved, you will be issued a Good News Club (GNC) name tag by the local CEF office with the current year, to indicate you have completed the necessary screening. It is essential that you wear this name tag when you serve at a GNC. Talk to your GNC team leader if you would like to receive more training.
The Ministry Compliance Agreement (previously the Worker's Compliance Agreement) is for adult and minor volunteers who have already been screened and/or approved to volunteer and:
- you have volunteered within the last 12 months, and
- as an adult, your most recent screening was within 5 years.
- as a minor, you have met and spoken with the local Ministry Coordinator.
Re-screening is needed for adult volunteers who have previously been screened and approved to volunteer and either:
- have not volunteered within the last 12 months or
- your most recent screening was 5 years or more ago
